In Case You Missed It

This month on BizBash, we explored how Khadlaj Perfumes took over an entire immersive art museum in Las Vegas, developing original branded content for the venue's projection environments and integrating it with physical design, scent, sound, lighting, florals, hospitality, and technology.

We also checked out how HubSpot rebranded UNBOUND, its flagship tech and marketing conference formerly known as INBOUND, and learned how tech company Tailscale built a customer conference from scratch. And last week, we peeked behind the scenes at this year's Dreamforce, Salesforce's flagship event, which addressed the controversies surrounding AI technology while also showcasing its power for customers.

Event Technology We're Excited About This Month

To turn live event translation into a sponsorship opportunity
AI translation platform Wordly has launched Sponsor Logos, a new feature that allows event organizers to sell sponsor placement directly within the live translation and captioning experience. Sponsor branding can appear on attendee screens as participants follow captions or translations on their phones, as well as alongside translated subtitles displayed on a main-stage screen.

For multi-stage events, organizers can assign a different sponsor to each session, creating additional high-visibility sponsorship inventory while potentially helping offset the cost of providing multilingual language access.

“Event organizers are constantly challenged to stretch budgets while providing inclusive, accessible experiences,” noted Wordly founder and CEO Lakshman Rathnam. “With Sponsor Logos, language access isn't just a cost center anymore; it's a high-visibility revenue stream.”

To deliver silent-theater audio without dedicated headsets or hardware
This week, Wordly also introduced Silent Theater Integration, a new capability that streams booth presentation audio directly to attendees’ phones, eliminating the need for traditional wireless headsets and dedicated equipment. Designed for noisy trade show environments, the feature allows presenters to speak normally while attendees listen through their own devices and follow large captions on booth screens.

Because it works alongside Wordly’s existing translation and captioning tools, exhibitors can offer silent-theater audio, multilingual translation, and accessibility features through a single platform while reducing the logistics associated with charging, distributing, and managing headset inventory.

“Silent theaters have always been effective, but hardware has held them back,” said Rathnam. “By streaming high-quality audio directly to attendees’ phones, we’re making presentations easier to run, easier to scale, and far more accessible in the environments where organizers need it most. Done well, silent theaters become reliable engines for qualified conversations, not just another booth demo.”

To catch attendee travel discrepancies before an event
GroupGrid, a new travel reconciliation platform for event planners and corporate travel managers, has launched to help teams identify gaps across attendee registration, flight, hotel, and ground transportation records. The platform brings data from separate files into a single grid and flags potential issues—including registered attendees without travel bookings, travelers who haven't registered, mismatched hotel and flight dates, and arrivals at the wrong airport or outside approved travel dates—while clearing records that align so planners can focus on attendees who need follow-up.

“Every event has someone behind the scenes making sure the travel details line up,” said Amanda Grandal, founder and CEO of GroupGrid. “Early in my career, that person was me with a ruler and a printed rooming list. Even as the process became more sophisticated, the same gaps continued to appear because every piece of information lived somewhere different. I built GroupGrid to give event planners one clear place to see what matches, what doesn’t, and what needs their attention.”

To turn event credentials into personalized digital experiences
Mem-re, a platform that transforms physical event touchpoints into digital experiences, has partnered with Avery Products Corporation, a provider of RFID-enabled event and hospitality credentials, to integrate Mem-re’s technology with RFID wristbands, badges, and cards produced by Avery’s ID&C and RFID Hotel businesses.

With a single tap and no app required, attendees can use their credentials to access a personalized digital experience that evolves throughout the event journey—from pre-event information and content to augmented reality, merchandise, offers, giveaways, sponsor activations, and other real-time engagement. Afterward, the same credential can connect guests to a digital destination where they can revisit, contribute to, and save memories from the experience.

“A wristband or badge shouldn’t just get you through the gate. It should unlock the entire experience instantly, with a tap, without requiring an app, and give you a way to return to that moment for years to come,” said Spencer Combs, CEO of Mem-re. “Together with Avery, we’re turning the credential into the digital key for the entire journey: before, during, and long after the event.”

To use AI to improve trade show strategy before exhibitors hit the show floor
Integrated Exhibits, a trade show exhibit company, has launched a suite of AI Trade Show Marketing Tools designed to help exhibitors choose events, develop booth concepts, and create strategies for attracting and engaging attendees.

The suite includes ShowMatch AI, which uses industry data, buyer profiles, and event information to identify trade shows aligned with a company’s products, customers, and marketing objectives; BoothGenius, which generates exhibit concepts based on factors such as booth size, messaging, visibility, and the attendee perspective; and ThemeArchitect AI, which develops creative themes, booth messaging, engagement ideas, and booth-staff scripts tailored to a company’s target audience and marketing goals.

“We’ve spent more than 25 years designing and producing trade show exhibits, and we’ve seen where exhibitors lose opportunities,” said Carlo Seta, president and founder of Integrated Exhibits. “We built these AI tools to help solve those problems before companies spend thousands of dollars on their next trade show.”

To turn multilingual presentations into two-way conversations
InfiniSpeak, a browser-based live multilingual communication platform, has launched to help event audiences listen and participate in their preferred languages using their own smartphones. Attendees scan a QR code, select a language, and receive live translated audio and captions without downloading an app or creating an account. InfiniSpeak’s Talk feature also allows audience members to speak in their own language while others receive their comments in their respective languages, with a built-in hand-raising and speaker queue giving organizers control over who has the floor. The platform currently supports 101 languages.

“The vision isn’t simply to translate what somebody says,” said Gregory Lan Ijiwola, founder of InfiniSpeak. “It is to help people participate. I want someone to be able to speak in the language that comes naturally to them and another person to hear and understand them in the language that comes naturally to them.”

To turn long-form event content into social-ready short videos
shortshort, an AI-powered video repurposing platform, turns long-form recordings such as conference talks, webinars, lessons, and podcasts into short vertical videos designed for social media. Users can upload a video file up to 2 GB or import their own public or unlisted YouTube video, and the platform transcribes the recording before using AI to suggest complete, quotable passages targeted at 15 to 90 seconds. Each proposed clip remains editable and is automatically reframed for vertical viewing by tracking the face on screen, while slides and wide shots remain full-frame.

Users can choose from four caption styles and export clips in 9:16 or 4:5 formats, with direct YouTube publishing and TikTok publishing currently in early access. Built and operated by independent developer Arsène Huot, shortshort charges based on the length of the source video rather than the number of clips produced, with 60 credits—or 60 minutes of source video—included free at sign-up.

To give trade show exhibitors more ways to engage attendees through trivia
SocialPoint, a provider of interactive games and gamification for trade shows and corporate events, has rebuilt its Trivia game with new formats, question types, branding options, and ways to play across booth screens and mobile devices. In addition to traditional quiz-style play, exhibitors can create Trivia Bingo and Category Clash experiences or reveal categories using animated cards, slots, or a prize wheel.

Seven question formats—including photo answers, ranking, multi-select, open-ended questions, and video—give marketers more ways to incorporate product information and other content, while games automatically format for phones, tablets, kiosks, touchscreens, and large displays. The update also adds expanded branding and customization, streamlined game creation, and additional ways to reward participation through prize drawings and instant wins.

“Trade show trivia works especially well when it does more than test whether someone knows the right answer,” said Samuel J. Smith, integrator at SocialPoint. “It can give booth visitors a reason to stop, introduce product information in a more engaging way, and make it easier for booth staff to start a conversation. The new version gives marketers many more ways to build that kind of experience.”

To help event attendees quickly find every photo they appear in
CéSAR, an AI-powered event photo-sharing platform, uses facial recognition to help attendees find photos of themselves after conferences, company parties, team offsites, and other events. Guests access the event gallery through a link or QR code, take a selfie, and are matched with the photos they appear in—no app download required—while photographers can upload images in bulk and attendees can contribute their own photos to the same gallery.

Organizers can customize the gallery’s design, share management access with clients or team members, and provide full-resolution downloads; the platform also includes a free online seating-chart tool whose QR code can direct guests to both their table assignment and their photos.
