Event operations company Ops Squad has appointed James Dawson as commercial director, as part of a wider reshuffle of its team.

Dawson joins from Hearst UK, where he was event operations and partnerships manager. At Ops Squad, he’ll lead commercial development, building relationships with clients and partners and looking for new business.

Ops Squad works across trade shows, exhibitions and other events, providing event operations and project management, health and safety management, and checks on stand plans.

New projects director and director of health and safety also joining

The new team structure also includes Claire Haddrell as projects director, James Haddrell as director of health and safety, and Sarah Gilley as operations director.

Ops Squad’s directors and owners, Anna Anson and Steve Dawson, said: “Investing in our people is a key part of our plans for the future. As the business continues to grow, we want to make sure we have the right structure, expertise and leadership in place to support our clients and deliver the high standards Ops Squad is known for.”
