LAS VEGAS - Showfloor Wireless, a new rental company from the crews behind Eighty32 Show Tech and Rockstar Show Services, is renting booth internet, audio and ADA assistive listening direct to exhibitors at Las Vegas trade shows, delivered and set up by the same RF engineers who coordinate wireless for broadcast and festival work.
The idea came from watching exhibitors pay convention pricing for a single wired drop. Showfloor's booth internet kit, a bonded multi carrier 5G router with a private WiFi network, rents for $40 a day, is pre tested in the shop and arrives at the booth ready to plug in. The lineup has grown to include Shure wireless mics, booth PA, wireless intercom, Teradek wireless video, laptops and printers, all on one order and one invoice.
New this fall is assistive listening. Showfloor now stocks Listen Technologies 72 MHz FM systems and ListenWIFI streaming, so a general session, keynote or booth theater can meet the ADA receiver counts without going through the house AV. The company publishes the ADA receiver table by seat count on its site and sizes each kit to it, with neck loops and signage included. The same gear doubles as silent disco style booth audio and as a channel for interpretation.
"Exhibitors keep getting told what they can't do in a booth," said Chris DeBrizzio, founder of Eighty32 Show Tech and managing partner of Showfloor Wireless. "We spend the rest of the year making wireless work in the hardest rooms in the country. Bringing that to a 10 by 10 and charging a fair price for it was overdue."
Showfloor Wireless delivers to every Las Vegas convention center and hotel venue and ships kits nationwide. Pricing and the order builder are at www.vegasshowfloorwireless.com.
