Getting a professional stage into a restricted site, setting it up quickly and powering the show can be a challenge for event organisers. The Stage Bus has developed the Stage Box Mini to address some of these practical hurdles, bringing sound, lighting and AV together in a compact mobile unit that can be towed by a suitable van.

Weighing just 2.5 tonnes and taking around 15 minutes to set up, the Mini offers an alternative to larger staging structures for events where space, access and installation time are limited.

Despite its smaller footprint, the Mini can accommodate audiences of up to 2,000 people. It comes with integrated PA, lighting and AV equipment, with an optional screen for presentations, branding and video content. The stage can also be configured for DJ performances, allowing it to be used across a range of event formats. Branding can also easily be incorporated, with options including side wing banners, a traditional skirt banner and a customisable light panel in the roof. These options provide opportunities for event sponsors, businesses and organisers to display logos, campaign messages or event artwork, helping the stage fit the identity of the event.

Power is another consideration in its design. A solar onboard battery system can provide up to eight hours of power, with a low-power mains connection available for longer events. This gives organisers an alternative to relying entirely on conventional power supplies and reflects the wider industry’s growing focus on reducing the environmental impact of live events.

Manufactured in the UK, the Stage Box Mini has been developed to meet the needs of organisers looking for a smaller, more easily transported staging option. Potential applications include community festivals, outdoor performances, corporate events and promotional activities, particularly at venues where space is restricted or a full-size stage would be impractical.

The new unit joins an established fleet that includes The Stage Bus’s converted shipping container-based Stage Boxes, which provide larger performance spaces for festivals, concerts and public events. The company offers staging with integrated sound, lighting and power across the fleet, allowing organisers to choose a solution that suits the scale and requirements of their event.

The addition of the Mini gives the fleet greater flexibility, covering events that may not require the capacity or infrastructure of a larger stage. Its compact design also means transport, installation and equipment can be brought together in a single unit, simplifying some of the practical considerations involved in event planning.

As event sites and production requirements vary, having different staging options available can help organisers find a solution that works for their particular location, audience and schedule. The Stage Box Mini provides another option for events where a smaller footprint and rapid setup are key considerations.
