Congress Messe Innsbruck 任命 Igor Palka 为新任董事总经理，2027年3月1日上任

Congress Messe Innsbruck (CMI) has appointed Igor Palka as its new Managing Director, effective March 1, 2027. He will succeed Christian Mayerhofer, who is leaving the organisation for personal reasons after 13 years in the role.

The appointment follows a public recruitment process that attracted more than 160 applications from Germany and abroad, overseen by Supervisory Board Chairman Andreas Perger.

Born in Munich in 1983, Palka brings over 20 years of experience in the exhibition and events industry. He currently serves as Divisional Director at Messe Berlin, where he is responsible for technology trade fairs, new business development and internationalisation.

Previously, Palka held leadership positions at Messe München, managing several industrial trade fairs and an international subsidiary, with a particular focus on Asian markets. His experience in exhibition management and international business development is expected to contribute to CMI’s future growth.

Palka highlighted Innsbruck’s established international standing and its potential for further development as a congress and exhibition destination.

Until he assumes office, Astrid Kirchbichler, Head of Finance and Human Resources, and Hansjörg Stern, Head of Trade Fair Operations, will manage CMI’s operations on an interim basis.
