The 2026 Western Sydney Tourism Awards were held during an evening event at Western Sydney Convention Centre on Friday 16 October, with the region’s leading tourism operators, businesses and industry figures coming together to celebrate excellence and innovation from across one of Australia’s fastest-growing visitor economies.

The awards were hosted by Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce NSW, which is the region’s leading tourism industry association that advocates for, and promotes, Western Sydney’s visitor economy.

Held at Western Sydney Convention Centre in Penrith, guests included NSW Minister for Jobs and Tourism Steve Kamper, Mayor of Penrith Todd Carney, Panthers Group CEO Andrew Hill, and representatives from Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce and Western Sydney International Airport.

“Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and winners, whose innovation, passion and commitment continues to showcase the very best of western Sydney,” says Fazila Farhad (pictured, at top, centre, onstage with board), chair, Western Sydney Tourism Taskforce.

“Since launching in 2024, these awards have celebrated the people, businesses and experiences shaping the future of tourism in our region.

“As western Sydney prepares to welcome the opening of Western Sydney International Airport and enters a new era of opportunity, success will be defined not by infrastructure alone, but by the people and experiences that bring our region to life and make it such a unique destination for visitors.”
