More than 30 exhibit and event professionals from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver gathered for education, hands-on product demonstrations and industry networking.

TORONTO – More than 30 exhibit and event professionals gathered at STRADA XR Studios in Toronto for the inaugural Canadian beAcademy, an education and training program hosted by beMatrix USA.

Attendees traveled from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver for a day focused on professional education, hands-on learning, technology and collaboration within Canada's exhibit and experiential events industry.

The program combined product training with discussions about some of the operational and business issues affecting Canadian exhibit professionals. Sessions included updates on tariffs and their impact on the industry, beMatrix's strategy for supporting the Canadian market, new product developments and hands-on demonstrations of several beMatrix solutions.

Technology and workflow were also a focus of the program. Attendees explored beMatrix's digital ecosystem and learned how digital tools can support greater efficiency throughout the design, planning and production process. The hands-on portions of the event gave attendees direct access to beMatrix products and technical experts, allowing participants to explore applications and installation techniques while exchanging ideas with other industry professionals.

For Cory Cassarscalia of Kubik, the inaugural Canadian beAcademy provided both an educational opportunity and a forum for industry collaboration.

"I really enjoyed being part of the inaugural Canadian beMatrix Academy. It was a great opportunity to strengthen our knowledge of the beMatrix system, share ideas and connect with others from across the industry," Cassarscalia said. "I found the session to be both informative and engaging, while bringing together industry professionals to share insights and best practices. It's great to see beMatrix bringing opportunities like this to the Canadian market."

Gerry Hunter of Hunter Expositions also highlighted the value of bringing the program to Canada.

"I'm excited about inaugurating the very first beMatrix Academy in Canada," Hunter said. "It's a great opportunity to network with other members of our industry and exchange ideas in a shared environment."

The event also served as the setting for the announcement of the Canadian chapter of the Experiential Designers and Producers Association (EDPA), which will become the association's 12th chapter.

The addition of a Canadian beAcademy expands the company's existing education and training initiatives into a market where exhibit professionals often work across significant geographic distances. Bringing participants from three major Canadian markets together created opportunities for both technical education and peer-to-peer knowledge sharing.

beMatrix USA plans to continue supporting its Canadian partner community through training, resources, product education and access to its physical and digital systems.
