Longhaul corporate buyers who attended IT&CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2026 are directing more incentive groups and regional meetings to Thailand, citing cultural and culinary draws, air connectivity, and the value of leisure time after business travel across Asia.

Belgium-based incentive agency Yuzu Land is preparing to bring 130 participants to Thailand in November, and its owner Manuel Eyland said demand has returned to pre-pandemic strength.

“Thailand is becoming more and more important for us. It was a key market before Covid, and now it is picking back up with new requests coming in each month,” Eyland said.

He added that a successful programme depends on “a good mix of culture and nature”, paired with teambuilding activities.

For European multinationals, Bangkok works as a meeting point for staff spread across Asia-Pacific. A corporate buyer in a Netherlands-based biotechnology and pharmaceutical company told TTGmice that his company hosts an annual regional summit in the Thai capital for employees stationed in Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand, with flight logistics being the deciding factor.

“Thailand is very attractive because of its convenient flights With great connections, you can arrive in Bangkok or Phuket with minimal layovers, and everyone loves Thai food,” he elaborated.

Carla Lins, operations & marketing director from Brazil-based Aunare Ingredients, organises high-end delegations of 20 to 50 decision-makers from the agriculture, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors. Their technical facility visits take place in manufacturing hubs such as China and Japan, and Lins is working to add Thailand to those itineraries as a leisure extension.

“I am trying to bring them to Thailand for tourism because I think it is an amazing destination,” she said.

She noted that pairing technical programmes with leisure time in Thailand builds longer-term engagement between her company and its clients, many of whom travel to Asia specifically for supplier visits.

“It is about strengthening the relationship, the networking after the business is done,” Lins said.
