The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has expanded its lineup for the 65th ICCA Congress, introducing strategic sessions co-curated with the World Economic Forum (WEF) alongside an international roster of cross-sector experts.

Scheduled to take place from November 8 to 11, 2026, in Panama City under the theme CrossWorlds: The Crossings We Bring, The Crossings We Choose, the event will convene over 1,000 business events professionals from 80 countries and more than 100 international association executives.

The expanded speaker lineup includes newly announced additions Ramya Krishnaswamy and Charlotte Boutboul, who join prominent keynote speaker and environmental activist Erin Brockovich. The inclusion of the WEF session aims to bring high-level strategic and leadership perspectives to association leaders and meeting planners.

Designed to move past conventional conference models, the 2026 Congress features a multi-modal format – structured as “Congresses within a Congress” – with 60 per cent of the schedule dedicated to peer exchange, interactive workshops, and high-impact networking.

The gathering is shaped by six cross-sector co-curators: the World Economic Forum, UN Tourism, CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, IEEE, AC Forum, and the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development. Together, these organisations bring expertise across technology, association management, tourism, and social sustainability.

“This collaboration represents a landmark moment for ICCA and the global meetings industry,” said ICCA CEO Senthil Gopinath. “As the first event of its kind, it demonstrates ICCA’s unique ability to connect diverse sectors and stakeholders, reinforcing our role as a global leader and catalyst for innovation, knowledge exchange, and meaningful impact.”

Panama’s minister of tourism Gloria De León added: “Panama exists as a crossing between worlds, which is exactly what this Congress celebrates. Hosting the 65th ICCA Congress affirms our role as the meeting place of the Americas and advances a clear ambition to position the country among the world’s leading destinations for international association meetings.”
