维多利亚州政府启动新一轮区域商务活动资助计划

The Victorian Government has opened a new funding round of the Regional Business Events Program, offering financial support to attract national and international conferences, trade exhibitions, seminars, corporate meetings, and incentive programmes to regional Victoria.

Delivered jointly by Business Events Victoria and the Melbourne Convention Bureau to strengthen regional economies and support local jobs, the programme offers two funding streams for eligible events held before March 31, 2028.

The Strategic Acquisition Events stream, managed by Business Events Victoria, provides grants of up to AS$50,000 (US$35,178) for events in regional Victoria with at least 25 delegates.

Meanwhile, the International Incentive Events stream, managed by the Melbourne Convention Bureau, offers grants of up to A$200 per delegate for new international incentive trips bringing a minimum of 10 participants.

Funding can be applied to core event expenses, including venue hire, accommodation, transport, and catering.

The previous round of the program funded 80 business events, bringing more than 6,530 delegates to regional Victoria and generating an estimated A$16.5 million in economic benefits for regional communities. The initiative is backed by the Victorian Government through its Community Support Fund.
