PARKROYAL Parramatta is celebrating four decades since opening and has entered a new era through the completion of a major refurbishment.
The hotel in Sydney’s west has revealed the completed final stage of its transformation, following the redesign of two-thirds of its rooms in 2025.
This second stage delivers a redesigned lobby, upgraded meetings and events spaces, and a premium executive suite.
“As we celebrate PARKROYAL Parramatta’s 40th anniversary this year, completing this transformation is a reflection of our proud history and a commitment to the future,” says Jeroen Meijer, cluster general manager, Sydney, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.
“Following the refurbishment of our guest rooms in 2025 as the first phase of the transformation, this next stage ensures we are ready to meet growing demand and deliver an enhanced experience for every guest.”
The upgrading of PARKROYAL Parramatta’s meetings and events facilities includes enhancements to the Governor’s Ballroom (pictured, at top) and the introduction of western Sydney’s first and biggest permanent hotel LED wall, through a partnership with Encore APAC.
The 10-metre-by-three-metre LED wall “combines cutting-edge visual technology with Encore’s internationally recognised event production expertise, giving organisers access to immersive presentation capabilities typically reserved for major convention venues”.
Complementing the technology investment is the hotel’s portfolio of 13 events spaces designed for executive board meetings, conferences, gala dinners and celebrations.
“We’ve invested in creating a destination that reflects where western Sydney is heading,” says Hans Joachim, manager, PARKROYAL Parramatta.
“Parramatta is no longer an emerging business centre; it is an established commercial hub that continues to attract major investment, corporate activity and events.

“The completion of this transformation ensures we are well positioned to support that future while continuing to deliver the personalised service and local expertise that has always set PARKROYAL Parramatta apart.”
The refurbishment also introduces the newly refurbished 116-square-metre PARKROYAL Suite, which can accommodate up to six guests and is suited to intimate business meetings in a private setting, with the option of a tailored boardroom experience that transforms the suite into a bespoke executive meetings space, with personalised menu option for private dining.
