GLOBAL: Sherrif Karamat, president and CEO of PCMA and CEMA, announced event production partnerships with SourceOne Events and Advanced Staging Productions. SourceOne Events has committed to a three-year agreement to support PCMA’s signature events in North America from 2027 through 2029. Advanced Staging Productions returns for a second consecutive year to produce Convening Leaders 2027 in Miami.

NATIONAL: Last week, the Canadian government highlighted an expanded air transport agreement with Vietnam, Canada's largest trading partner in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The expanded agreement was announced as part of the new strategic partnership between Canada and Vietnam. The agreement includes 14 weekly passenger-combination flights per country.

MONTREAL: From Oct. 29 through Nov. 15, MTLàTABLE, an initiative of Tourisme Montréal, will bring together 165 restaurants across the city to showcase Montréal's culinary scene, from acclaimed fine-dining restaurants to neighborhood establishments that help define Montréal's culinary identity. The 14th edition will welcome about 50 first-time participating restaurants. Returning in 2026, the DÉVORE culinary guide and Air Canada signature experiences will showcase exclusive tasting menus at seven Montréal restaurants.

For the month of October, Halloween festivities are back at the Jardin botanique. For the entire month, Espace pour la vie and "Kalbacius the sorcerer" invite visitors to discover the magic of seeds in an exciting and slightly spooky (but not too spooky!) atmosphere surrounded by gigantic decorations.

RANKIN INLET, NU.: Northern and Arctic communities, including Indigenous communities, rely on safe and reliable transportation infrastructure to support daily life, economic activity, and access to essential goods and services. As climate change puts increasing pressure on northern transportation systems, investments in all-season infrastructure are helping communities stay connected, while strengthening supply chains and supporting Canada's security and sovereignty in the Arctic. This week, the Canadian government celebrated the grand opening of the Rankin Inlet air terminal building and announced federal funding of $85.5 million through the Arctic Infrastructure Fund (AIF) to support the Rankin Inlet Airfield Rehabilitation Project.
