AWARD-WINNING CUISINE MEETS EXCLUSIVE GOLF COURSE
With meeting rooms for up to 150 participants, private dining salons, and a pavilion designed for automotive launches, Golf Arboretum near Kamnik gives organisers several ways to build a programme around one address. A conference hall, a twelve-person dining salon and a rotating vehicle display make an unusual combination. At Golf Arboretum in Volčji Potok, they now form part of an increasingly compelling proposition for business events. The venue’s appeal extends beyond the fairways: organisers can move between presentations, private meetings, outdoor activities and a meal prepared by the Bratovž family, whose JB Restaurant relocated here in May 2026. For companies planning a full day together, this golf range deserves closer examination.

A landscape shaped by golf, horticulture and cuisine
The surrounding area’s association with cultivated landscapes predates golf by far. In 1882, Ferdinand Souvan bought the neighbouring Volčji Potok estate, renovated its manor and planted parkland on former fields and meadows. His son Leon subsequently expanded the grounds, introducing native and exotic trees, ponds and carefully arranged planting. The manor was burned in April 1944, but the park survived. Protection followed in 1950, and in 1952 the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry took over the estate, laying the foundation for the arboretum’s development. The neighbouring botanical park supplies the historical context for the resort’s name and location.
Golf added a later chapter to the landscape design. Golf Klub Arboretum was founded in 1994, when members initially gathered at a practice ground within the arboretum before acquiring a home course. Italian golf architect Marco Croze later developed the course, with Peter Škofic collaborating on its expansion to eighteen holes.

A conference with room to divide
Veronika Hall is the principal indoor venue, accommodating up to 150 people. Its daylight, central LED screen, and provision to project content onto individual tables give organisers options for presentations, workshops, and dinners with a strong visual component. Lunina Hall is offered for management meetings, press conferences and workshops, making it a potential companion space when a programme needs separate discussions alongside a plenary session. The more private rooms suit executive programmes especially well. Salon Madame Clicquot seats up to twelve guests and offers direct restaurant service, ideal for a working lunch. The 44-square-metre VIP room, also described as the Porsche Room, has its own bar and toilets.

Product launches with a purpose-built display
The automotive pavilion is the resort’s most specialised event space. Positioned before the clubhouse entrance, the circular structure combines panoramic glazing, retractable glass walls and a rotating vehicle platform. Eight additional display bays include electric charging points, with flagpoles for branding. For a model launch, this allows event organisers to combine a vehicle presentation with a wider display and test drives from the same location. Outside, Park Birdie accommodates seasonal gatherings, presentations and post-tournament events. The resort can host up to 140 guests for weddings.
A new foodie mecca
JB’s arrival gives the venue another reason to consider. Founded by Janez Bratovž in 1992, the restaurant spent decades on Ljubljana’s Miklošičeva Street before moving to Golf Resort Arboretum in May 2026. Tomaž Bratovž leads the kitchen, while Nina Bratovž oversees wine and service. For an organiser, this makes lunch or dinner a substantive part of the programme, particularly for a client gathering where the meal carries as much weight as the presentation preceding it.
