World-class Business Events, Distinctly Christchurch
For event organisers looking across Australasia, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre offers more than an award-winning venue: it offers an exceptional destination experience.
Recently named Oceania’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre 2026 at the World Travel Awards, following its 2025 win, Te Pae Christchurch combines modern, flexible spaces for up to 2,000 people with specialist expertise and a distinctly New Zealand sense of place.
Purpose-built for business events, the tiered auditorium, exhibition halls, meeting rooms, Rivers Room and networking spaces allow complex programmes to flow seamlessly under one roof. Since opening in 2022, Te Pae has hosted more than 1,000 events.
At the heart of the experience is Manaaki o Te Pae, our approach to genuine care and hospitality. From our friendly, experienced team to menus showcasing the best regional produce and flavours, delegates experience the warmth and character of Canterbury.
Sustainability is equally embedded in how we operate. Te Pae has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 20% since opening and holds Toitū Net Carbon Zero, Toitū Enviromark Gold and Qualmark Gold certifications, supporting organisers seeking to deliver more sustainable events.
Step outside and Ōtautahi Christchurch becomes part of the programme. Te Pae sits in the heart of a compact, walkable city, close to accommodation, restaurants, the Ōtākaro Avon River, Botanic Gardens and Hagley Park. Beyond the city, Canterbury and the South Island offer spectacular landscapes, from the Southern Alps and Port Hills to the coast.
Christchurch’s appeal continues to build internationally, with Booking.com naming it one of its Trending Destinations for 2027, and the only New Zealand destination on the list.
For conferences connected to Christchurch’s growing sectors, it’s a place where people, ideas, industry and opportunity come together.
World-class venue. Genuine hospitality. Distinctly Christchurch.
