由Mash Media发起的“One Day at Christmas”活动定于12月4日在英国Excel London、NEC Birmingham等九家场馆举行，为面临孤独的人群免费提供节日餐食、娱乐及礼物。该活动自2015年启动以来已扩展至全国范围，今年所有宾客席位已满，主办方呼吁更多具备场地和团队资源的机构加入以扩大受益面。
In one month, the UK events industry will do what it does best. Open the doors, feed a crowd and make people feel welcome.
One Day at Christmas takes place on Friday 4 December at nine venues across the UK. It gives people facing loneliness a proper Christmas Day, including a festive meal, entertainment, gifts and good company – all completely free.
This year, every guest place has gone, which shows that is it such a vital event in the calendar for our society.
Loneliness does not take December off. For many of our guests, this will be the only Christmas meal they share with other people this year.
We need more venues
Mash Media started One Day at Christmas at Excel London in 2015. It has since grown into a nationwide effort, run by the industry, for the people who need it most.
This year’s host venues include Excel London, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, SEC Glasgow, P&J Live Aberdeen, Royal Armouries, Farnborough International, Business Design Centre and Tobacco Dock.
More venues means more guests. Simple as that.
