CANADA: Destination Canada's Funding Search Engine, LitFest in Edmonton, Rogers Centre Ottawa's New Sustainability Initiatives, and More
Destination Canada联合Fundica推出免费AI驱动的资金搜索引擎,英法双语可用,帮助加拿大旅游组织和企业在2025年营收超1405亿加元的行业中快速匹配资金项目。
GLOBAL: As 2026 enters its final quarter, Hyatt Hotels Corporation is highlighting a concentrated period of growth across its luxury portfolio in the Americas, led by the expansion of the Park Hyatt portfolio in Mexico and a series of distinctive additions to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. From the Pacific coast of Baja California Sur to Mexico’s Caribbean coastline and the dynamic capital city of Mexico City, the Park Hyatt brand is building a three-property story across the country—with Park Hyatt Cabo del Sol, which opened its doors last December, and the upcoming openings of Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Park Hyatt Mexico City Polanco.
NATIONAL: Canada’s tourism sector is a major economic driver, generating over $140.5 billion in revenue in 2025 and supporting over 5,000 communities across the country. A lack of investment in tourism infrastructure, assets, and experiences drove Destination Canada to launch a free AI-driven Funding Search Engine, powered by Fundica, to help Canadian tourism organizations and businesses find and access funding programs that match their needs quickly, easily, and all in one place. Designed to break down barriers, it empowers underrepresented business owners to access the capital they need to grow and thrive. It is accessible in English and French and free to use.
EDMONTON: Every October, LitFest transforms Edmonton’s downtown into a creative hub for readers and writers who love stories. Over five days, LitFest offers author readings, panels, and workshops with some of today’s most exciting nonfiction voices. The festival returns Oct. 14-18 to various venues around town.
OTTAWA: Rogers Centre Ottawa is expanding its range of well-being and corporate social responsibility-focused initiatives available to conference organizers, introducing practical new ways to support more thoughtful, sustainable, and welcoming events. A recent example was seen at the Canadian Paediatric Society Annual Conference 2026. The event welcomed over 600 attendees, who took part in the Lend-a-Lanyard program, which provides event organizers with lanyards to use during the event and then are returned at the end for reuse rather than disposal. In September, Rogers Centre Ottawa also launched its new Sustainability Menu, bringing together food and beverage choices designed with more responsible sourcing, operational practices, and reduced environmental impact.
VICTORIA, B.C.: A highly regarded tourism industry index measuring the future sustainability of tourist destinations around the world has ranked Victoria, B.C., No. 1 among the world’s top small city tourism destinations with a population of less than 200,000. The Global Destination Sustainability (GDS) Index placed Victoria in first place among participating destinations, followed by Kerry, Ireland, in second place and Luzern, Switzerland, in third place.
