Today, CEIR, official research division of IAEE, has released the 2026 CEIR Index Midyear Report. This report presents the CEIR Index for the first half of 2026 alongside the economic conditions shaping exhibition demand.
The Index measures the performance of the U.S. business-to-business exhibition industry against a 2019 base, across four metrics: net square feet of exhibit space, exhibitors, attendees and real revenue.
What is Inside...
- Index performance —the first half of 2026 across the four metrics, by quarter and by sector.
- Economics behind the performance —the forces acting on consumers, the labor market, international travel and corporate budgets.
- Implications for the industry —what the forward indicators say about exhibition demand into 2028.
