2026年北方邦卡迪节在密拉特开幕 展出来自八邦的约100个展位传统产品

The 10-day Khadi Festival and Exhibition, organised by the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board, is underway at the Government Inter College grounds near Begumpul in Meerut, showcasing traditional textiles, handicrafts and indigenous products from across India.

Running from 16 to 25 October 2026, the exhibition features around 100 stalls representing eight states, offering visitors an opportunity to explore and purchase products from khadi and handloom garments to traditional handicrafts and regional specialities. The formal inauguration took place on 17 October. 

The exhibition brings together a diverse range of products, including Khadi garments, Banarasi silk sarees, woollen clothing, Kashmiri shawls, brassware, wooden handicrafts, crockery, dry fruits and other indigenous goods. Products associated with different regions highlight the variety of India’s traditional craftsmanship, including brass products from Moradabad, silk textiles from Banaras, bedsheets from Pilkhuwa and wooden crafts from Saharanpur.

Beyond product sales, the festival provides a platform for artisans, khadi institutions and village-industry enterprises to showcase their work and reach new customers. By bringing products from different regions together under one roof, the exhibition supports market access for traditional producers while giving visitors direct access to locally made goods.

The festival also reflects ongoing efforts to connect India’s traditional industries with contemporary consumer markets and strengthen opportunities for small producers and rural enterprises.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors through 25 October 2026, offering residents and visitors in Meerut an opportunity to discover the country’s khadi, handloom and handicraft traditions.
