Illinois

The Ritz-Carlton, Chicago completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to the Marriott-branded hotel’s 26 Lakeside Suites. The renovation includes the addition of refined residential-inspired interiors and elevated amenities to reflect a modern aesthetic. The suites offer views of Chicago’s skyline, Lake Michigan and also feature abstract artwork by a local artist. 

The 434-room property is located in the Magnificent Mile district near designer stores on Michigan Avenue and Oak Street. Other amenities at the property include a state-of-the-art fitness center, luxury spa and more than 35,000 square feet of meeting space across 20 rooms. The largest space is the 8,370-square-foot The Ritz-Carlton Ballroom for 850. 

Indiana

Hilton Fort Wayne at the Grand Wayne Convention Center unveiled a $16 million renovation to the headquarter hotel’s guest rooms and suites. The 246-room property, which is directly connected to the Grand Wayne Convention Center with 225,000 square feet of space, saw upgrades to the bathrooms, most of which now feature modern, walk-in showers that provide enhanced accessibility, convenience and comfort. 

Other updates to guest rooms include new furnishings, premium bedding, comfortable seating areas, spacious workstations and enhanced lighting. The renovation blends warm finishes and contemporary style. 

Other amenities at the hotel include covered garage parking, complimentary transportation to and from Fort Wayne International (FWA), a fitness center and onsite dining at Features Bar and Restaurant. The Hilton has more than 83,600 square feet of space across 15 meeting rooms. The largest space is a 48,600-square-foot convention hall for more than 3,000 attendees. Located within walking distance of more than 60 restaurants, entertainment and cultural attractions, the hotel will continue to elevate the guest experience by enhancing the restaurant and public spaces. 

Ohio

In the heart of Cincinnati’s downtown Fountain District, Cincinnati’s Fidelity Hotel debuted at the end of July. The 165-room lifestyle hotel is located within the Gwynne Building, a Beaux-Arts landmark from 1913. The hotel blends Midwestern warmth with European influences to create an eclectic space that is personal and full of light. The hotel is chockfull of local artworks, vintage and contemporary furnishings, marble floors and bold wallcoverings.

The property has two dining options, Gwynne, an American restaurant and lobby bar and Cora’s All Day Cafe, a market offering house-made pastries, sandwiches, salads, charcuterie, wine and local beer. Meetings capabilities include more than 7,770 square feet of space across a private dining area, prefunction space and multiple ballrooms. The largest ballroom is the 2,575-square-foot Vanderbilt Ballroom for 170. The hotel is walking distance to multiple Cincinnati attractions including the Great American Ballpark, Paycor Stadium, the Contemporary Arts Center and the Taft Museum.

Hyatt House Chicago Raises the Roof

Elevation 14 is a new rooftop venue at Hyatt House Chicago/West Loop’s 14th floor. Located in Chicago’s Fulton Market district, the hotel’s new space is suitable for corporate outings, cocktail receptions and networking events, set to the panoramic backdrop of Chicago’s skyline. The outdoor space is the hotel’s largest space for events. The 200-room hotel has three event spaces; the two indoor spaces have capabilities for 30 and 40 guests. 

Other amenities onsite include a rooftop pool, business center, gym, grab-and-go market and bar. The property is located near several fine-dining establishments that make up Chicago’s Restaurant Row. Other nearby entertainment options include the WNDR Museum, Credit Union 1 Arena and the United Center.
