泰国会展局(TCEB)面向区域买家推介清莱与考艾,助推曼谷以外会奖旅游(MICE)目的地分流
TCEB spotlights Chiang Rai and Khao Yai to regional MICE buyers
The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) recently hosted two familiarisation tours across Chiang Rai and Khao Yai for trade delegates and buyers who attended IT&CM Asia 2026 in Bangkok, driving regional event dispersal beyond the capital.
Organised under the MaxiMICE Thailand umbrella, the post-show itineraries align with recent destination milestones across both provinces.

Chiang Rai was formally designated as Thailand’s newest MICE City in mid-September, offering direct access via a 1.5-hour flight from Bangkok. Meanwhile, Khao Yai, located a 2.5-hour drive from the capital in Nakhon Ratchasima’s Pak Chong district, will host the International Horticultural Exposition.
Curated by the Association of Thai Tour Operators, the Chiang Rai ‘Farm to Cup’ itinerary focused on northern Thai Lanna culture, local coffee and tea supply chains, and indigenous Akha gastronomy. Delegates visited Singha Park Chiang Rai, Choui Fong Tea Plantation, Mae Fah Luang Art and Cultural Park, and Wat Rong Khun, alongside Doi Chang Arabica coffee producers and local enterprises. Accommodation hosted for the northern leg included Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton, and The Heritage Chiang Rai Hotel.
Designed by MICE Magnet Asia, the Khao Yai itinerary targeted incentive and corporate retreat planners seeking wellness and nature-based activities near the UNESCO-listed Dong Phayayen-Khao Yai Forest Complex. Programme highlights included visits to the Khao Yai Art Forest, Elephant Conservation Center Khao Yai, Varin Wellness & Spa, Ban Mak Muang mango farm, and GranMonte Vineyard and Winery, with delegates hosted at KhunKhao Paradise Khao Yai.
Both post-tours were designed with sustainability at the core, ensuring that delegate visits directly support local micro-economies, preserve traditional heritage and promote environmental stewardship.
Supawan Teerarat, president of TCEB, said: “By transforming conventional site inspections into rich, multi-sensory journeys, MaxiMICE Thailand positions Thailand as a dynamic host where business events connect with cultural depth, community development and ecological stewardship.”
