奥里萨邦在India Chem 2026吸引53893.51亿卢比拟议投资

Odisha has attracted proposed investments worth ₹53,893.51 crore at India Chem 2026 in Mumbai, with the projects carrying the potential to generate 20,210 jobs. The announcement marks a significant push by the state to strengthen its position as an investment destination for the chemicals, petrochemicals and energy industries.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led a Team Odisha delegation to Mumbai on 22-23 October, engaging with domestic and international companies during the event at the Bombay Exhibition Centre. The delegation held 25 one-to-one meetings with prospective investors, including representatives of POSCO India, JSW Group, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and companies from the United States and Europe.

The state secured nine Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) involving proposed investments of ₹51,443.51 crore, with an estimated employment potential of 17,560 jobs. Four additional investment-intent agreements, valued at ₹2,450 crore, are expected to generate another 2,650 jobs.

Among the major proposals, NLC India Ltd accounted for ₹36,763.51 crore across the chemicals and energy sectors. L&T also proposed an investment of ₹8,100 crore, with an estimated employment potential of 1,300 jobs.

The proposals highlight investor interest in Odisha’s industrial and energy sectors, although their eventual contribution will depend on project implementation, regulatory approvals and the progression of individual investments.

Building on the investment outreach at India Chem 2026, Odisha is set to host Odisha Chem 2027 in October 2027, with support from the Central Government and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). The proposed event is expected to provide another platform for industry engagement, business networking and investment discussions.
