Messe Berlin在北京启动全新会奖旅游展会CIMX

Messe Berlin is launching a business events show in China. The China International MICE Exchange (CIMX) will take place at the China National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing from 3-5 November, catering to the Chinese events industry.

The organiser expects 150 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions, 350 hosted buyers and 5,000 visitors from China and abroad. The hosted buyers are made up of 200 people from MICE agencies, 100 corporate event and incentive planners, and 50 association representatives. They’ll meet exhibitors through pre-arranged appointments.

Who’s exhibiting

Exhibitors include convention bureaus and tourism boards from China and overseas, among them Dubai Business Events, Singapore Tourism Board, the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau and the South African National Convention Bureau. Venues include Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and Shanghai Tower, and hotel groups include Meliá Hotels International and Sands Resorts Macao. Beijing is the host city partner and EgyptAir is the official airline partner.

Nikolaos Swoch, director of CIMX, said: “China’s role in the global MICE value chain is evolving – as a source of demand, a host for international events and a contributor of expertise and innovation.”

Conference and ICCA forum

The show runs alongside a conference with 120 speakers across six tracks, covering incentive travel, event design, corporate decision-making and technology. PCMA and GBTA will each host a workshop. ICCA is co-organising a closed-door forum where destination leaders from across China will meet international association meeting experts.

After the show, selected international participants can join fam trips to Beijing and Tianjin.
