CAROL STREAM, Ill. - Ion Exhibits, a Chicago-area builder of custom and rental trade show exhibits, has named Marc Santos its new President. Santos started on October 12. Kevin Fett continues as Chairman, CEO, and owner of the company.

Santos brings more than 20 years of business development and sales leadership to Ion. He spent his career at Nielsen, starting as a new business representative in 2004 and earning five promotions on the way to Vice President of North America. He founded and grew the company’s small and midsize business unit, taking annual sales from $3 million to $80 million. Most recently, he was Senior Vice President of Data Solutions at ECRM.

Santos also knows trade show exhibiting from the client side. At Nielsen, he helped set exhibit design criteria, made final decisions on exhibits, managed the show budget, and calculated the return on investment for the company’s shows. He knows what exhibitors need from a partner because he was one.

“Marc is the right person to help Ion grow. He has deep business development experience, he understands our clients, and he cares about our people. There’s a lot that’s great about Ion already, and he’ll build on it. We trust him to take us to the next stage, and I’m thrilled to have him here,” said Kevin Fett, Chairman, CEO, and owner of Ion Exhibits.

As President, Santos will lead Ion’s growth strategy, working with Kevin Fett and the management team. He will develop new vendor and strategic partnerships and strengthen relationships with clients and across the industry. He will also run day-to-day operations across all departments, so the strategy gets carried out in the business and not just on paper.

“I’m excited to join this dynamic team and add my experiences to complement their extensive knowledge,” said Santos.
