Diversified收购Smart Buildings Show，2027年将与Digital Construction Week、GEO Business同期同馆举办

Diversified UK & Europe has bought Smart Buildings Media, the company behind Smart Buildings Show and the digital titles Smart Buildings Magazine and Smart Infrastructure Magazine.

Smart Buildings Show takes place each year at Excel London, most recently on 14-15 October. The show has more than 100 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors working in areas such as energy management and building controls.

From next year, it will be co-located with Diversified’s Digital Construction Week and GEO Business at Excel on 23-24 June 2027, eight months after this year’s show. It will keep its own entrance and branding, and Diversified says the three shows together will bring in more than 350 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors.

Carsten Holm, managing director of Diversified UK & Europe, said: “Bringing the show alongside Digital Construction Week and GEO Business lets us give it real scale while keeping its own distinct identity.”

John Hatcher, co-owner, editor and conference director of Smart Buildings Media, and sales manager Claire Hatchett will join Diversified UK & Europe to continue running the show and magazines.

On the lookout for more deals

Diversified bought Digital Construction Week in 2018 and launched Digital Construction North in 2024. Its portfolio also includes GEO Business in the UK and GEO Week in the US.

Diversified is headquartered in Portland, Maine, and also has divisions in the US, Australia and Canada.
