W Brisbane has launched three new studios on Level 6 of the property, transforming premium riverside space into a new destination for executive meetings, private dining, intimate conferences, celebrations and cocktail receptions.
The new spaces boast natural light with views of Brisbane River, plus innovative AV technology, flexible configurations and a “more personalised approach to food and beverage”.
W Brisbane says the new spaces are in response to growing demand for smaller, more flexible events spaces as the hotel increasingly accommodates shorter-lead and smaller-scale events alongside its larger conferences and functions.
“We’re seeing an appetite from planners for spaces that do more than simply accommodate a meeting,” says Kirsty Clunes, director of sales and distribution, W Brisbane.
“They’re looking for venues that feel distinctive, have the technology to support the way businesses operate today, and give them the flexibility to create an experience around their attendees.
“Natural light, views, quality food and beverage, and advanced AV are all increasingly important considerations, particularly for smaller groups where every element of the experience is more visible, and Level 6 has been designed with that in mind.”
At the centre of the new collection of spaces is 63-square-metre Studio 7, W Brisbane’s premier new events facility that offers views across South Bank and The Wheel of Brisbane, and features a private adjoining office “and advanced technology that allows the space to transition from VIP board meetings by day to elevated dining experiences by night”.
Technology is a defining feature across the new studios, reflecting growing expectations of businesses accustomed to sophisticated AV capabilities in their own workplaces.
Studio 5 and Studio 6 feature three-metre seamless direct-view LED displays, ultra-fine 1.5mm pixel pitch, distributed ceiling audio, wireless presentation and content sharing, and one-touch room control.
Studio 5 is a versatile 55-square-metre setting with west-facing views across Brisbane River and the CBD – perfect for sunset events.
It features a large boardroom table and is equipped with a three-metre LED screen and integrated ceiling audio.
This space is suited for business meetings, presentations, private dining and intimate events.
Clients can book individual studios – Studio 5, Studio 6 or Studio 7 – or the entire floor.
With three studios ranging from 55 square metres to 63 square metres, the collection offers a variety of configurations for up to 49 guests per studio, or up to 136 guests when the Level 6 collection is used as an exclusive floor.
The new Level 6 events spaces complement W Brisbane’s existing Level 3 studio collection.
