IFEMA MADRID hosted the ESMO Congress from 23 to 27 October 2026, welcoming nearly 40,000 oncology professionals from around the world. The five-day event presented the latest developments in cancer research, diagnosis and treatment.

Recognized as one of the leading scientific events in international healthcare, ESMO Congress brought together researchers, physicians, healthcare professionals, patient representatives and industry leaders to exchange knowledge on advances in cancer prevention, diagnosis and clinical care. The congress occupied 135,600 gross square metres across 10 halls, including 30,000 square metres of exhibition space, alongside 70 meeting rooms and additional venues at IFEMA MADRID and its Municipal Congress Centre. Its scientific programme featured 296 presentations by international experts, covering areas such as precision medicine, immunotherapy, early diagnosis and emerging therapeutic strategies aimed at improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
