Supported by Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Association Leadership Awards & Summit 2026 will bring together association leaders, policymakers and industry stakeholders on 17 December at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi.

The inaugural edition of the Association Leadership Awards & Summit (ALAS) 2026 is generating significant interest across India’s association ecosystem, having received over 500 nominations from associations and professional bodies across the country.

Scheduled for 17 December 2026 at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi, the prestigious initiative by Association Buzz and Exhibition Showcase Media aims to establish a national platform dedicated to recognising the remarkable contributions of associations, chambers of commerce, trade councils, professional societies and industry federations in advancing India’s economic and institutional development.

The initiative is supported by Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, reflecting the growing importance of associations in fostering business events, professional collaboration, trade promotion and destination development.

ALAS 2026 is being organised with MBB Consulting Group as Advisory Partner, with institutional support from the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) and National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC).

Recognising Association Excellence Across 21 Themes

The Association Leadership Awards will honour outstanding institutional contributions across 21 distinct themes, encompassing governance and leadership, membership development, member engagement, policy advocacy, innovation, digital transformation, sustainability, professional development, skill development, industry collaboration, international engagement, MSME development, startup promotion, standards and certification, research, publications, diversity initiatives and organisational excellence, among others.

The overwhelming nomination response reflects the diversity and influence of India’s association landscape, with participation spanning manufacturing, trade, infrastructure, technology, finance, healthcare, professional services and several other economic sectors.

The awards will recognise both established institutions and associations making meaningful contributions within specialised and emerging sectors.

A National Convergence of Association Leadership

Beyond recognition, ALAS 2026 has been conceived as a platform for meaningful dialogue, strategic networking and cross-sector collaboration.

The Association Leadership Summit will convene association presidents, chairpersons, CEOs, secretaries general, executive directors, policymakers, government representatives and senior industry leaders to examine the evolving role of associations in India’s growth story.

Through keynote addresses, leadership conversations, fireside chats and panel discussions, the Summit will explore opportunities for strengthening institutional leadership, industry representation, policy engagement and collaboration.

A distinctive component of ALAS 2026 will be the Event Partners Forum (EPF), designed to connect associations with convention destinations, exhibition and conference venues, event service providers and other business events stakeholders.

By connecting association decision-makers with the wider meetings and events industry, EPF aims to encourage fresh business opportunities and strengthen India’s position as a destination for association-led events.

The day-long programme will culminate in the Association Leadership Awards Ceremony, recognising associations and distinguished individuals whose leadership and initiatives have created measurable value for their respective industries and communities.
