Airline alliance oneworld has relaunched its dedicated oneworld Meetings & Events sales platform, introducing preferential fare products across its 15 member airlines to simplify international event travel for delegates converging on a shared destination.

Unveiled at IMEX Las Vegas, the refreshed product targets gatherings with a minimum of 50 independently travelling attendees. Event organisers receive a dedicated booking link for direct distribution or website integration, enabling delegates to independently book itineraries that match their schedules while accessing network-wide fares.

The relaunch coincides with the release of a joint trend report produced alongside travel trend forecasting agency Globetrender, which identifies seven structural shifts set to transform the international meetings and events sector through 2030.

According to the research, face-to-face connection is commanding a higher premium as artificial intelligence makes digital information ubiquitous, while escalating travel costs are requiring organisers to demonstrate measurable return on investment over raw attendance numbers.

At the same time, conferences are increasingly borrowing from festival and immersive entertainment formats to drive delegate engagement, and host cities are serving as primary content drivers influencing the decision to attend.

The report also highlights how expanding longhaul flight networks and geopolitical shifts are redrawing viable event geographies, while integrated carrier and hospitality loyalty partnerships extend rewards across the entire travel lifecycle. Additionally, airport precincts and surrounding hotel infrastructure are emerging as standalone destinations for business gatherings.

The oneworld alliance network encompasses 15 member carriers – including American Airlines, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, and Qatar Airways – connecting delegates across nearly 1,000 global destinations.
