In July, Greater Miami and Miami Beach celebrated a topping out ceremony for the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, an 800-room convention center hotel that will open in November 2027. The property will feature 50 suites, a rooftop pool and 110,000 square feet of space for meetings and events, including an 8,000-square-foot Grand Lawn.

The hotel, which offers views of Miami’s skyline, Biscayne Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, will be directly connected to the Miami Beach Convention Center, which recently completed a $640 million redesign. The Hyatt hotel will also be near Miami Beach, shopping and dining at Lincoln Road, Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, The Fillmore Miami Beach, New World Symphony and more.

The redesign also included enhancements to the M Club, which now features contemporary furnishings, a neutral palette with subtle pops of teal and flexible seating. The M Club is for Marriott Bonvoy Elite members.

The Marriott hotel is located in the French Quarter and offers more than 86,000 square feet of space for meetings and events. Other amenities include two rooftop pools, a fitness center and five dining options.

Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville topped out in July marking the vertical completion of the $131 million expansion, which was announced in January 2025. Rosen Resort Renovation

Rosen Hotels & Resorts announced in August an extensive renovation plan for two of the brand’s convention hotels—Rosen Shingle Creek and Rosen Plaza—both located in Orlando.

The $150 million renovation to Rosen Plaza will be completed in fall 2026 and Rosen Shingle Creek’s renovation will be completed in 2027. The total reimagining will tap every hallway and all 2,300 guest rooms across both properties, showcasing Rosen Hotels & Resorts commitment to elevated amenities and advanced in-room technology. Upgrades will also be seen throughout Rosen Shingle Creek’s 524,000 square feet of space for meetings and events.

Rosen Shingle Creek is set on 255 acres along Shingle Creek, the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. The hotel design blends 21st-century comforts with Mediterranean Revival romance, and the new guest rooms feature bold patterns, warm tones, rich walnut and curated artwork. The renovated rooms will also offer spa-like bathrooms and custom furnishings that emphasize comfort.

Rosen Plaza is Harris Rosen’s flagship convention hotel in Orlando—the Florida city has been rated the top place to meet in North America by Cvent 11 years running. The guest rooms at Rosen Plaza embody an urban retreat with soothing green tones and earthy hues. Rosen Plaza offers more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 26,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, and is directly connected to the Orange County Convention Center via the Gary Sain Memorial Skybridge.
